Daniel Turner (b. Rochdale 1974) is a British artist living and working in Cornwall, UK. He studied Fine Art, specialising in Painting, at Falmouth University.

Even though his studio floor is often thick with charcoal dust and eraser crumbs, Daniel Turner would still classify himself as of the genus Painters.  Bound by dedication to some greater Universal Atelier, the space within a Painter's studio is Other - a vast wilderness of thought and a place for personal rituals. Turner describes his paintings as places, real landscapes, geographic by nature - the act of painting to travel without moving (much). Like any journey involving great distance or time, it’s best to focus on tasks and rituals, not destinations. There are maps for this stuff already, seasoned fellow travellers to learn from, and a rich history full of navigational aids. In this regard, Turner’s work is a visual travelogue - a record of his travails, of his ever-changing thoughts and feelings regarding the nature of Painter, Painting, and Studio.
